TUFH Community of Practice
Remote and Rural Health
Guidance, learning and a global community for everyone working to improve access to health in rural and remote places, built with a rural lens rather than an urban one.
Join the CommunityWhere to start
Rural communities see their own solutions, and then watch solutions designed in and for cities imposed on them instead. This community brings a rural lens to rural health, grounded in evidence and built with Rural WONCA.

Coming soon
Developed with Rural WONCA, the guidance brings a rural perspective to rural health. It covers access to health in terms of geography, funding, infrastructure and workforce; socioeconomic disadvantage; infectious and chronic disease; and the needs of particular rural populations.
It then sets out models that work, including community-oriented primary care, integrated multidisciplinary teams and extended generalist practice, with lessons drawn from Canada, Australia, South Africa, Thailand and Ethiopia, followed by implementation, financing and evaluation considerations.
We will publish it here as soon as it is released.
